Dr Kruger was invited to speak with Prof John Mew in Auckland at The 2011 New Zealand Dentists' Orthodontic Society Annual Conference - Facial Aesthetics and Orthodontics, He also spoke at the 2010 International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) Annual Meeting in Florida U.S.A. He spoke on "How to treat growing patients in order to create a lifetime gift of excellent esthetics". His presentation was well received and the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to keep up with the latest in growth orthodontics. His last international lecture was presented at the IDA, Chalakudy Branch, Orthodontic Summit in Kerala, India. Here he spoke about different bracket sytems and retention in orthodontics.
Dr Kruger is a Senior Instructor for the International Association for Orthodontics having graduated in April 2006 from the Instructors Institute at the International Association for Orthodontics in the USA. This is a great honour as this is by invitation only. Dr Kruger thanks Dr Derek Mahoney, the renowned Sydney specialist orthodontist, for nominating him.
Dr Vernon Kruger is a 1981 Graduate of The Witwatersrand University in South Africa. He passed with distinction and was a top student in the department of operative dentistry.
His training includes: cranio facial orthopaedics, orthodontics, upper quarter pain treatment, and jaw joint disorders.
